Nicole studied Screen Production and majored in Drama Directing at the University of Auckland. She also has a BSc in Environmental Science. 

 

Nicole's Masters film'The Huia' showed at festivals in New Zealand and internationally; a short documentary 'Forgotten Dresses' (produced by Karalisa Dantas) screened in the Auckland Heritage Festival 2012; Nicole directed the short film 'Whistleblower' (produced by Arielle Sullivan) which screened in the Show Me Shorts Film Festival 2015 and on Rialto Channel.

In 2014 Nicole co-founded Waking Dream Collective with Ghazaleh Golbakhsh and Mojan Javadi to support female and minority filmmakers.  

 

Nicole's documentary-in-progress follows the Eyes for Everest charitable organisation of optometrists trekking through the Everest Region in Nepal to carry out basic eye testing in the villages and schools.

Nicole is one of the producers of DEAD (2020) directed by Hayden J. Weal and starring Tom Sainsbury and Hayden J. Weal.
